It has been a year since Bollywood lost one of its most iconic actors – Irrfan Khan on April 29, 2020. Remembering the late actor, Bollywood stars like Nimrat Kaur, Divya Dutta, Randeep Hooda, Dia Mirza took to their social media accounts to pen heartfelt tributes for him. His Lunchbox co-star Nimrat took to her Twitter to share a monochrome picture of him and thanked him for ‘the gift of your life.’ Even fans started pouring in emotional messages in the comments section of her post. While Dia Mirza showed her ‘respect and love’ towards Irrfan on his death anniversary.

Speaking about Divya Dutta, she penned a heart-touching note, calling his legacy ‘amazing.’ Her note read, “One year!! #IrrfanKhan! It doesn’t and will never feel like you are gone!! The amazing legacy of work you have left!! And that shy smile and the magical eyed embedded in our hearts!! @irfaniyat” In a recent interview with ETimes, Divya fondly remembered the late actor and reminisced the time she first saw him on the sets of the film, Dubai Return. She recalled all the masti and improvisation that they did during the shoot and that shooting with him was a ‘party.’ 

She was quoted saying to the portal, “It has been a year already but I still cannot fathom the fact that he is not around anymore. Irrfan Khan was magic. There was absolutely nobody like him. His eyes and his shy smile, I still get goosebumps when I talk about him. He was a marvel on screen and there was so much more that I wanted to see of him on the screen.”
